About us
Eckington Under Fives is a small, friendly preschool at the heart of our village community. Each morning, children arrive to a bright, welcoming room filled with carefully chosen toys, books and activities that invite them to explore. Coats are hung up, bags are popped on pegs, and there is always a warm hello from a familiar adult.
Our day flows gently between free play, small group time and shared moments together. Children build towers, mix potions in the mud kitchen, paint, sing and share stories on the carpet. Outside, they climb, balance, dig and discover, with plenty of fresh air in our secure outdoor space and on regular Forest School adventures.
Every child has a key person who gets to know them really well – what makes them smile, what they find tricky, and how they like to learn. We work closely with families, sharing milestones and little moments of joy, so that home and preschool feel connected.
By the time children leave Eckington Under Fives, they are confident, curious and ready for their next step at school – with happy memories of the friends they made and the fun they had here.
